News: April 2010

Hi all!

Well lots of news and lots of things in the works. We've had some more success placing some songs from The Sun, the Moon & the Sea on TV. Also, our song "Silver Spades" was featured on an MTV series called "16 & Pregnant." We wish the proud parents all the best in their future endeavors, and were happy to have provided the soundtrack for their child's birth :-)

Our new record has been fully tracked, and is going to be delivered to multi-instrumentalist/engineer/producer extraordinaire Mike Reina for the finishing touches, as well as mixing. We are hoping for a summer release. Hope everyone is enjoying the Spring...more soon!

Mason Brothers on the CW's 90210

Just a quick update: "Round and Round" from our album The Sun, the Moon & the Sea will be featured on the upcoming episode of the CW's 90201. The episode will air this Tuesday (10/13) at 8pm EST. As always thanks for the support!

News for April

Mason Brothers' song "Ghost at the Wheel" placed in feature film Don't Fade Away. Also on the film's soundtrack will be artists Ryan Adams, Alexi Murdoch, and others.

Don't Fade Away will also feature some custom scoring work by Christian Mason.

The film stars Mischa Barton, Beau Bridges, Ryan Kwanten (HBO's True Blood), and Ja Rule. Trade publication The Hollywood Reporter recently ran an article about the film having been purchased by New Films International. You can read this article by clicking here.

Surfers Dig Mason Brothers?

The band is pleased to announce that it has had some unexpected success with the surfing community. "Ghost at the Wheel" was recently featured in a Boost Mobile Pro Surfing Competition broadcast. During a segment on what surfers are doing to keep the beaches and oceans clean, "Ghost at the Wheel" plays in the backgroud. To check it out, click here!

CD Release Show

We have set a date and venue for The Sun, the Moon & the Sea record release concert. It will take place Thursday May 8th at the Camel in Richmond, Virginia. Doors open at 8pm, and also appearing will be David Shultz, Pete Appleby (of Memorial), and Josh Scolaro (of Brice Woodall and the Positrons). We worked out a special deal with the venue where for $10 at the door, you get into the show, get a copy of The Sun, the Moon & the Sea, and a copy of my solo record Carnival Sky.
